The Choice To Stay A Positive Person

Want to know how to stay positive in a sometimes negative world?

Being a positive person is a choice. It is something we must choose daily, despite our obstacles. Life will always throw us a curve ball.It is about how we catch the ball, and wether or not we keep the ball vs. throw it back. For me personally, staying positive is something done out of habit. Just as any habit, once it is there it is hard to break. 

We must read positive things, or watch positive things daily. Somehow. Wether it is a daily inspirational message through a blog or Website, to a book you are reading we must fill our brain with these good things. By doing so, things that once seemed so negative, will appear lighter and more bearable. And by being more receptive to positive things, we begin to see more positive things in our life unfold.

During the initial phase of making yourself a more positive person to be around, you may need to distance yourself from negative overbearing people. Once you have done this, and have entered your new positive world, negativity will likely be repulsive to you. You will find your fuse to be a tad shorter when dealing with a negative person, and begin to naturally distance yourself. I think this is important to do. Once you are where you need to be, you can deal with the more negative people appropriately.

Do you think it is coincidence that good things happen repeatedly to the same people? OR is it because they are a positive person by nature? If you stub your toe getting out of bed does that trigger many things in your day to go wrong? OR is it because you stubbed your toe, then became grumpy, and may have even voiced that your whole day will be bad now because of this mishap with your toe?

Feed your brain with positive sayings. Post them in your car and around your house. Attend a seminar or conference that promotes positive thoughts. Grab a few books at the library that will teach on how to deal with situations that are negative, while remaining positive. Lastly, when you feel negative thoughts creeping in immediately replace them with positive ones. By using our thoughts and words in a positive way, positive results will come. Either way, life is just to short, to be negative.
